Check your voter registration status! It’s easy.
Don’t be surprised on Election Day!
Most states let you check it ONLINE.
CHECK EARLY AND OFTEN
WHY? – Because some states will kick you off the list!
Then you might get blocked at the polls, or not receive important voting information in the mail.
States and local election officials sometimes “purge” voter lists. They delete voters for various reasons – suspected address changes, etc. And they probably won’t bother to tell you. So, check your registration status well in advance of Election Day – that way, you’ll have time to fix it if it’s broken.
HOW TO CHECK YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION:
Contact your state election office, or visit the link below.
Make sure all your information is current:
First of all, are you still on the voter list?
Is your name and address correct?
Is your party affiliation (if you have one) correct?
If you find anything wrong, fix it - REMEMBER, YOU USUALLY MUST FIX THINGS (OR RE-REGISTER) BY YOUR STATE’S REGISTRATION DEADLINE.
