“Early Voting” means YOU decide WHEN to vote. You still vote in person, but you vote when it’s convenient for you, not just on “Election Day.”

These states allow Early Voting for ALL voters - you don’t need a “reason”:

ak / az / ar / ca / co / dc / fl / ga /
hi / id / il / in / ia / ks / la / me /
md / ma / mn / mt / ne / nv / nj /
nm / ny / nc / nd / oh / ok / or / sd /
tn / tx / ut / vt / wa / wv / wi / wy

The following states don’t have Early Voting exactly, but they may allow you to vote early with an “in person absentee ballot.” You may need to provide a “reason” you can’t make it to the polls on Election Day.

de / ky / mi / ms /
mo / sc / va
