How to vote in Texas!

Texas deadline to register to vote: Monday, October 5, 2020

Step 1. Are you eligible to vote?

Can you answer YES to the following?

If so, you are eligible to vote in Texas!

• I'm a US Citizen
  
• I'll be at least 18 years old on Election Day
  
• I'm a resident of the county where I submit the application
  
• I'm NOT a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole)
  
• I have NOT been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote
  

Step 2. Check your voter registration - you can do it ONLINE! (Click here.)

Step 3. If you need to, register to vote or fix your registration - you can do it ONLINE! (Click here.)

Step 4. Check out your voting options - find the way to vote that works best for you!

• Everyone in Texas is eligible to Vote Early - in person but before Election Day. A handy way to avoid crowds! (Click here to find out when and where you can Vote Early.)
  
  
• Are you eligible to vote a Mail-in Ballot (aka Absentee Ballot)? (Click here to find out.)

Step 5. Enjoy voting!! If you requested a Mail-in Ballot, read the instructions carefully when it arrives. Complete and return! Or, if you're voting in person, Vote Early (before Election Day) to avoid crowds.
