Step 1. Are you eligible to vote?

Can you answer YES to the following?

If so, you are eligible to vote in New Jersey!
  • I’m a US Citizen
  • I’ll be at least 18 years old on election day
  • I will have been a resident of my county for 30 days before the election
  • I’m NOT currently serving a sentence, probation or parole because of a felony conviction

Step 3. If you need to, register or fix your registration. (Click here.)

Step 4. Request a Mail-in Ballot (a.k.a. Absentee Ballot). (Click here.)

OR, if you prefer to vote in person, ask when and where you can Vote Early (before Election Day). This will help you avoid crowds.

Step 5. If you requested a Mail-in Ballot: When it arrives, read the instructions carefully. Complete and return!
