Step 1. Are you eligible to vote?

Can you answer YES to the following?

If so, you are eligible to vote in Montana!
  • I’m a US Citizen
  • I’ll be at least 18 years old on the next election day
  • I’ve lived in Montana for at least 30 days
  • I’m NOT a convicted felon serving a sentence in a penal institution
  • I have NOT been judged in a court of law to be of unsound mind

Step 3. If you need to, register or fix your registration. (Click here.)

Step 4. Request a Mail-in Ballot (a.k.a. Absentee Ballot). (Click here.)

OR, if you prefer to vote in person, ask when and where you can Vote Early (before Election Day). This will help you avoid crowds.

Step 5. If you requested a Mail-in Ballot: When it arrives, read the instructions carefully. Complete and return!
