Step 1. Are you eligible to vote?

Can you answer YES to the following?

If so, you are eligible to vote in Mississippi!
  • I’m a US Citizen
  • I’ll be at least 18 years old on the next general Election Day
  • I’m a resident of Mississippi, this county and this city for at least 30 days
  • I have NOT been convicted of voter fraud or any other disenfranchising crime (or, if convicted, I have had my voting rights restored as required by law)
  • I have NOT been adjudicated as mentally incompetent

Step 4. Check with your county election officer for your voting options: Can you request a Mail-in Ballot (a.k.a. Absentee Ballot)? Can you Vote Early (in person, but before Election Day)? (Click here.)

Step 5. Depending on your voting options: If you receive a Mail-in Ballot, complete and return. OR vote in person (before Election Day, if possible).
