Step 1. Are you eligible to vote?

Can you answer YES to the following?

If so, you are eligible to vote in Minnesota!
  • I’m a US Citizen
  • I’ll be at least 18 years old on Election Day
  • I have been a resident of Minnesota for 20 days
  • I have NOT been convicted of a felony (or am finished with all parts of any felony sentence)

Step 3. If you need to, register or fix your registration ONLINE! (Click here.)

Step 4. Request a Mail-in Ballot (a.k.a. Absentee Ballot). (Click here.)

OR, if you prefer to vote in person, ask when and where you can Vote Early (before Election Day). This will help you avoid crowds.

Step 5. If you requested a Mail-in Ballot: When it arrives, read the instructions carefully. Complete and return!
