If so, you are eligible to vote in Michigan!
- I’m a US Citizen
- I’ll be at least 18 years old by the next general election
- I will have resided
at my current address for at least 28 days prior to the election
- I’m NOT currently serving any portion of a felony
sentence, including probation
- I have NOT been adjudicated incompetent to vote by a judge
Step 3. If you need to, register to vote or fix your registration.

Until October 19, 2020:
Register ONLINE. (Click here to register online.)
Until November 2, 2020:
Register in person at your city or township clerk. (You may be able to vote at the same time.)
On November 3, 2020 (Election Day):
Register and vote at the same time at your city or township clerk.

You can vote a Mail-in Ballot (aka Absentee Ballot). The deadline to request one is
October 30, 2020.

- You can Vote Early - in person but before Election Day. It's a handy way to avoid crowds. Early voting is from September 24 to November 2. To find out exactly what the options are where you live, contact your city/township clerk. (Click here for a list of all Michigan city/township clerks.)
