How to vote in Louisiana!

Step 1. Are you eligible to vote?

Can you answer YES to the following?

If so, you are eligible to vote in Louisiana!
  • I’m a US Citizen
  • I’ll be at least 18 years old on Election Day
  • I reside in the state and parish in which I seek to register
  • I’m NOT under an order of imprisonment for conviction of a felony or, if under such an order I have NOT been incarcerated pursuant to the order within the last five years and I am NOT under an order of imprisonment related to a felony conviction for election fraud or any other election offense pursuant to state law
  • I’m NOT under a judgment of full interdiction for mental incompetence or partial interdiction with suspension of voting rights

Step 3. If you need to, register or fix your registration ONLINE! (Click here.)

Step 4. Check with your state election office for your voting options: Can you request a Mail-in Ballot (a.k.a. Absentee Ballot)? When and where can you Vote Early (in person, but before Election Day)? (Click here.)

Step 5. Depending on your voting options: If you receive a Mail-in Ballot, complete and return. OR vote in person (before Election Day, if possible).
