How to vote in Kentucky!

Step 1. Are you eligible to vote?

Can you answer YES to the following?

If so, you are eligible to vote in Kentucky!
  • I’m a US Citizen
  • I’ll be at least 18 years old on the date of the next general election
  • I’m a current resident of Kentucky
  • I do NOT claim the right to vote anywhere outside Kentucky
  • I’m NOT a convicted felon, or if I have been convicted of a felony, my civil rights have been restored by executive pardon
  • I have NOT been judged mentally incompetent in a court of law

Step 3. If you need to, register or fix your registration ONLINE! (Click here.)

Step 4. Check with your state election office for your voting options: Can you request a Mail-in Ballot (a.k.a. Absentee Ballot)? Can you Vote Early (in person, but before Election Day)? (Click here.)

Step 5. Depending on your voting options: If you receive a Mail-in Ballot, complete and return. OR vote in person (before Election Day, if possible).
